Daily photos

I remembered that I have some daily photo posts on my old blog so here is the link to my earlier daily photo posts. Enjoy.

Tuesday's daily photos

Here are Tuesday's daily photos, from my yard of course. I did not take any daily photos on Monday as I did a photoshoot with my parents before they left - these photos will be uploaded soon. I did not get to take any photos today either (Wednesday) as I seem to have come down with a slight cold and just did not have the inspiration to go outside and photograph in a cold, wet yard. Tomorrow, be rest assured it will happen.

Sunday's Daily Photos

These are the photos I took on Sunday (yesterday), there was lots of lovely sunlight filtering through the trees and the cat was following me so I captured a lovely photo of him walking through the sun tree tunnel.

I didn't get a chance to take any photos Saturday as we were out all day - it was a very busy and long day. We didn't get back home until it was dark...I was disappointed that I didn't get to stick to my daily photos ideal...ah well, that's life.

Friday's daily photos

I haven't had much of a chance to post my daily photos - it was a very busy weekend, particularly with my parents visiting. These are Friday's daily photos.

The water drop photos were taken early morning, it was amazing. There were so many and they all looked so beautiful hanging off the dead branches in the yard.

The last photo is a corn plant from our garden...we didn't get that much from our corn plants, they look good.

Extra photos

We stopped randomly on the side of the road due to a phone call and I saw these two lovely photo opportunities. The horsehair particularly was a photo already in my mind - the sunlight filtering through was a bonus.

Thursday's daily photos

I didn't have alot of time to take much in the way of photos yesterday as my parents are visiting and I was busy showing them around. These were taken just before 5pm using a higher ISO (1600) and the longest exposure I could take hand held (40th of a second I think). They may be somewhat grainy due to the higher ISO. I am still making sure I get my practice of daily photos from my yard.

Wednesday's Daily photographs

Once again my daily photographs within the constraints of my yard...the possibilities are endless.

Self-portrait experimentation

Mirrors + lovely sunlight/daylight = interesting self-portraits
I took many self-portraits using a mirror resting on a chair with the light source in various places - these are 2 of my favourites. As is the one I have used for my profile page.
I have over the course of my life taken many, many self-portraits so am quite practiced in the art. It is indeed an art, one I am still experimenting in. The key is to make sure your arm (the good ol' arm stretch) is not in the photo and that your neck is not strained in funny uncomfortable looking ways.
I try to take unusual self-portraits, they don't always turn out. I think it is important to know how to photograph oneself just as much as it is important to know how to compose a photograph in other settings.

Tuesday's daily photos - up to date

I didn't have much time to take photos in my yard today as I was out for half the day and I have been rather behind in updating my photos. The rock photos were taken in the early morning - it was 6C and my fingers froze as I trying to shoot this scene.
Being super critical here, this is not the best I can do. I can do better. I am somewhat happy with them, but feel they are average photos. At least I fulfilled my quota of taking photos everyday. However I do not want to just fulfill my quota with crap photos - no way! This is a learning experience for me, not a fulfulling quota photo thing.

A visitor - cute kitty

I had the privilege of photographing an adorable kitten who decided to follow me home on Sunday night. He was still there Monday morning so I captured his presence while he visited me. He had a beautiful nature, constantly purring and wanting to snuggle. He would follow me where ever I went - so cute.

Monday's Daily Photos - bit late but taken on Monday

My backyard is full of amazing photos just waiting to happen...

Abandoned...

I stumbled across this delightful gem of a place to photograph. I could barely believe my eyes; all the wonderful photography opportunities. Others rubbish has now become my photography...

Autumnness Photoshoot

Lovely autumn leaves on trees, falling, falling, falling... for me to photograph, to capture in a moment of beauty.
